Our trip wrapped up with sunrise coffees, a trip to Chiang Mai’s famous temple, Doi Suthep, nighttime massages, a lot more motorbike riding, and waterfalls. The daydreams of living up in those mountains, taking my motorcycle out on weekends to explore new trails and overlooks, sipping coffee at one of the city’s many (many) cafes have just about solidified themselves in my brain.
If you have never had khao soi, GO GET YOURSELF SOME KHAO SOI.
That little bit of drool landed right on Michael’s foot.
Hiking up the steps to Doi Suthep.
Feet fish outside of our massage parlor. I will pass on these dudes, but I’ll take a Thai massage any day.
Guess what. Michael Megan’ed it.
A note: alcohol is forbidden on the train. We got caught and a vivid image of me wasting away in a Thai jail was all I could see as the train attendant called over the police. They didn’t look too hard though and missed the beer bottles I had tucked behind the curtain. Be sneakier than us.Cards Against Humanity and illegal beers on the way home.
See you soon, Chiang Mai.
