Inle Lake may have been my favorite part of the trip.
Riding bikes for miles through lush farmland and leafy tree tunnels.
Crashing a Burmese school and realizing language barriers don’t matter when you’re playing games with kids.
Eating and eating and drinking and eating.
Rollerskating in a random street side rink and buying skates for a local kid (who proceeded to totally show us up on said skates).
Playing with alllll the animals (except the python we came across on a hike).
Letting ourselves fall into that elusive “slow life” everyone talks about. We could have crammed more into our trip, but we didn’t.
Maybe that’s why I loved my time in Myanmar so much. With no itinerary, I let things come as they may. It was so refreshing and so beautiful.
These photos are stunning, I loved looking through them!! I love the really dramatic clouds against the green land.
I also adore your last paragraph as I find my favourite travels are when I travel without an itinerary too 🙂
